Here’s today’s Mindfulness Monday Moment:  Social Media can be a good thing, but it can also be a large distraction from noticing what is going around you. To try and decrease your screen time, move the apps you use most frequently to a different page or change their locations on your phone. See if you have less screen time this week and notice what you spend more of your time doing instead of scrolling on your phone.

The District 7 Student Advisory Team, which is a group of students, that meets monthly with the Superintendent to discuss school culture, educational programming and district practices, is looking for students to apply for the 2024-25 school year.  Please see the Schoology post for further information and a link to apply.

This year’s prom is on Saturday, May 11th from 7:00-10:00.  It is held at the Morris University Center at SIUE. Tickets are $55.00 each and can be purchased online or during lunch in the concessions on Wednesdays. QR codes for the website are posted around the school. If your date/guest is NOT an EHS student, then you will have to fill out a guest form, which can be found in the main office or room 247. All guest forms must be completed, signed by an administrator, and turned into the main office or to room A247 BEFORE purchasing tickets. Tickets will also be available after school from 1:50 - 2:45 outside the Main Office on Thursday, May 2 and Thursday, May 9.

Attention freshmen, sophomores, and juniors: are you creative, organized, curious, inventive, cooperative, responsible, and/or hard-working? Yearbook might be for you. Applications for the 2024-2025 yearbook staff are now available in the main office on the spinny thing or from Mrs. Thrun in A113. Completed applications and teacher recommendations are due May 7. See Mrs. Thrun in A113 or a current yearbook staffer for more information. Yearbook is one of the best ways to get to know your school community from a unique perspective!
