Fourteen Medical Occupations students qualified for state competition and competed March 17-19 in Springfield. There was fifty-three HOSA chapters represented at state competition that totaled 1,629 competitors in fifty-nine different events. Students placing in their events include:

Team of: Elizabeth Strahm, Samantha Patrick, Jumana Bahrainwala- top ten in Medical Reserve Corp
Team of: Addyson Moore, Jazmin Hayes, Samantha Kourinos, Elizabeth Strahm, Diya Kaur , Mariam Quazar - top ten in Public Service Announcement
EHS Drama proudly presents the musical, Chicago: Teen Edition on Friday, April 4th, Saturday, April 5th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 6th at 2 p.m.. Tickets are $5 (senior citizens are free, but must have a ticket) and will go on sale TODAY after school from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside the Main Office and on ehsdrama.ludus.com starting at 5 p.m. until the show. Don’t forget EHS faculty and staff are entitled to one complimentary ticket!
There is an Interact Club Meeting TODAY after school in A217. We will be discussing upcoming events and having a fun bonding event.
Interact Club is hosting Letters of Hope TODAY during sixth hour. We will be writing letters to a child in Zambia. Sign up during lunch today. The cost is 10 dollars. If you sign up you will automatically be excused from your sixth hour.
TODAY the Care Closet and Spanish Honor Society are collaborating to make over 300 peanut butter sack lunches for those in need. Members of either club are welcome to join us at 2pm in the cafeteria.
Trivia Night! Key Club is hosting their Trivia Night TONIGHT in the commons. Tickets are 10 dollars and sold at the door. Proceeds go to the kids with cancer organization. Look for the flyers around school to reserve a table now!
Attention all 9th – 11th grades: You will be taking the PreACT or ACT on Tuesday, March 25th. There is NO Early Bird on this day. Please find your assigned classroom posted on the guidance office windows, main office windows, and Schoology. Please bring your student ID, #2 pencils, a calculator, and most importantly, your charged device and charger. If you bring any electronic smart device, it will need to be powered off and cannot be accessed at all during testing.
Tiger Den will be closed next Tuesday, March 25 for ACT day as well as next Friday March 28 for an event.
Animal Rescue Club has rescheduled the trivia night. It will be held March 28th.
Attention 11th Graders: SIHF Mobile Van Unit will be at EHS on Tuesday April 3rd to give MCV4 immunizations to incoming Seniors who need their 2nd required immunization. Watch for the flyer and how to sign up through Schoology and on our Facebook page as only 50 slots will be available, and this is a required immunization for Senior year. If you have already received your 2nd MCV4 immunization, turn in your paperwork to the Nurses clinic by May 12th for your chance to be entered into the drawing for a free Senior year parking spot!!!
Are you interested in joining student council and helping to plan homecoming?! Applications for the summer/fall term of student council are available in the spinny thing in the main office and in room A229 (Mrs. Gray's room). Applications are due no later than 1:45pm on Friday, April 11. Please reach out to Mrs. Gibson or Mrs. Gray if you have any questions.
The Spring ASVAB is taking place on Friday, April 11th. Stop by the Guidance Office to sign up.
Class of 2026 NEHS inductees—the mandatory meeting has been moved to April 22nd at 2:00 PM in D174. Please contact Ms. Rowan if you are unable to attend.
