Today in Black History we celebrate the Harlem Renaissance, a cultural movement that uplifted Black art, music, and literature. It helped reshape American culture in the 1920s. 
Think about this: Why is art important in expressing identity and culture? 

Congrats to the Varsity Cheer team for their podium finish, placing 3rd at State. They also scored the highest in our cheer program's history with a 96.88

This past weekend the EHS Winter Guard competed at the WGI Kansas City Regional.  The AA guard placed 7th in their round, and the A Guard placed first in their round and then placed first in finals earning their first ever WGI Regional Championship.

All week The Mind Matters Club, m&m, is selling crumbl. The menu will change daily, today's options are dubai strawberry chocolate, strawberry heart cake, salted caramel cheesecake, valentine's m&m, chocolate chip, pink sugar, oreo chocolate, brownie batter, and valentine celebration

The Junior Board and Edwardsville Care Closet will be partnering during the month of February to put together a Valentine's Hygiene Drive!. Donations will be accepted through Friday. Please bring items to room A246 or the lobby.

Cards for Hospitalized Kids club is having a toy drive through February 13th. You can donate toys by putting them in the boxes that will be located in room A307, the lobby, and at the RP Lumber Center. There are flyers around the school that have a QR code on them and this QR code will give you a list of

The EHS Hockey Team will be playing against the Granite City Warriors TONIGHT at 8:30 p.m. at RP Lumber Center. The first 50 students with an EHS Student ID will get in free. 

Film Society is having their first meeting this Wednesday, February 11 in room A114.    Each month, we will watch a movie connected to an educational and inspirational theme focused on growth and understanding important topics. We will be watching the entire movie, so please plan your ride home or take the activity bus.  If you have questions, Message Ms. Scroggins on Schoology or email jscroggins.

Tiger Teachers of Tomorrow will meet Thursday, February 12 after school in Room A176 to work on plans for Read Across America Week.  We will have snack to enjoy while we work on our plans.

The Edwardsville Care Closet will be meeting this Friday in room A246! We hope to see you there!

EHS, are you ready to get freezin' for a reason? Polar plunge supporting Special Olympics is just around the corner on March 6th. You can join yourselves or donate under your favorite teacher for a chance to dump the icy bucket of water on them! Use the link on Schoology or find the QR codes on flyers around the school. Let's make a big splash for a great cause! 

A reminder for all students! As winter sports have begun, please remember that if you are going to attend any EHS event, you must have your current school ID. If you don’t have your ID, you will be required to purchase a ticket for $3.00.
